Mass surveillance is absolute and the Thought Pólice ensure no individual thinking is allowed. Winston Smith works at the Ministry of Truth, carefully rewriting history. But Winston dreams of freedom, and of rebellion. At work he falls in love with Julia, and starts a secret affair with her, but in this world nothing can be kept secret.
